Jayden Jenkins delivered a dominant performance to lead the Northern New Mexico College women's basketball team to a convincing 70-42 victory over Stanton University on Saturday at Nelson University. The win improved the Eagles to 7-10 overall and a perfect 2-0 in Cal Pac Conference play during their inaugural season in the league.

Jenkins was unstoppable on both ends of the floor, recording a game-high 22 points on efficient 10-of-20 shooting from the field. The standout forward also dominated the glass with 12 rebounds and wreaked havoc defensively with seven steals, showcasing the versatility that has made her a key contributor for Northern.

Rhianna Padilla provided valuable secondary scoring for the Eagles, finishing with 11 points that included a pair of three-pointers. Padilla's impact extended beyond scoring as she distributed two assists and recorded one blocked shot, helping Northern New Mexico control the game from start to finish.

The Eagles built their victory through balanced offensive execution and suffocating defense that held Stanton to just 42 points. Northern New Mexico's 28-point margin of victory demonstrated the team's growing confidence as they continue to establish themselves in their new conference home.

The Eagles will look to extend their perfect conference record with upcoming games against Pacific Union on Jan. 29 and Simpson on Jan. 31, both contests scheduled for Phoenix at Nelson University.
