Ross Romero, who has 31 years of coaching experience, is in his second year with the Northern New Mexico Eagles.
Prior to joining NNMC men’s basketball, Ross operated and coached one of the most successful high school travel programs in New Mexico for 28 years. Ross developed and coached players from NM, TX, CO, AZ, UT and OK with roughly 400 of his players receiving college scholarships at all levels, 100 at the NCAA Division I level, along with 50 playing at the professional level, and two having signed with NBA teams. His NM Force program achieved success at a high level, winning National Championships, including dozens of Final Four, Elite 8, and Sweet 16 finishes, playing against some of the most highly-ranked players from around the country, including over 50 players who play(ed) in the NBA, as well as several NBA All-Stars.
Ross has worked alongside Coach Stukes in recruiting student-athletes to NNMC

opportunity to recruit, mentor and develop these student-athletes into successful adults, and to help turn the NNMC women’s basketball program around and achieve great success for NNMC and the State of New Mexico!”
Ross received invites/worked the following Elite Camps: University of Texas, Oklahoma St., Baylor, Kentucky, Texas A&M, UNM, Pepperdine, and the University of San Diego. Ross also had the privilege and honor of attending the NBA Top 100 Camp at the University of Virginia.
Ross is a native of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and he served in the U.S. Air Force. He also attended Victor Valley College, CA and earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the College of Santa Fe.
Ross and his wife Cassandra are the parents of twin boys, Kyle and Tyler. Ross has another son, Isaac.
