TJ Stukes, a Bronx, NY thoroughbred enters his second year with the Northern New Mexico Eagles as an Assistant Coach to both the men’s and women’s basketball teams. Stukes adds to the NNMC strength and conditioning programs, as well as, community outreach initiatives.This will be Stukes’ second year coaching after hanging up his playing shoes and trading it out for a whistle and the sidelines.
Before the Eagles:
A 15-year professional playing career would take Stukes all over the world to places like China, Germany, Turkmenistan, and Mexico to name a few. He would razzle and dazzle audiences everywhere as a Harlem Wizard where he was the premier dunker and would be nicknamed, the Tomahawk after his high-flying, signature power dunk.
Before going pro, Stukes would play at Pittsburgh State and Independence CC where he was named Defensive Player of the Year in the Jayhawk Conference. He would play a key role in ICC going 31-0 after losing their first three games of the season. They would go on to see defeat at the national tournament but make history for the longest winning streak at ICC.

Stukes loves to dedicate his spare time to his acting, video streaming, and especially spending time with his wife and two children, Amare and Alana.
