Tony Gallegos

Tony Gallegos will start his second year as Northern New Mexico College’s Head Cross Country Coach. 

 

Gallegos is native of Northern New Mexico and a graduate of Espanola Valley High School. While at Espanola Valley High School, Gallegos played basketball and later coached as an assistant for legendary Northern New Mexico Basketball coach Lenny Roybal.

 

Gallegos competed at an all-state level in high school athletics helping his teams qualify for the state tournaments in Cross Country, Basketball and Track during his senior year. Gallegos went on to play College Basketball at Adams State University in Alamosa, Colorado, and was named to the RMAC all-conference team his final three seasons. 

 

Gallegos graduated from Adams State University with a BA in Sociology with an emphasis in Criminology.  Gallegos is also the Northern Men’s and Women’s Cross Head Coach.

 

Gallegos resides in Abiquiu with his wonderful and supportive wife Jenny, and they have three intelligent and active daughters, Noelle, Natalie and Nadia.
